JJ's vegan "vish and chips" hits Levenshulme

After running out of their Dark Lane cloud kitchen, the tofish team open the doors of their first entirely plant-based kitchen.

Vegans, rejoice. Your prayers have been answered. JJ's Vish and Chips has opened its first all-vegan kitchen right here in Levenshulme.

From 2 November 2021, you can get your mitts on an entirely plant-based array of battered goods from Oreos to their namesake banana blossom "Vish" and nori-wrapped Tofish.

What's on the menu?

JJ's menu is loaded with vegan takes on all the chip shop classics: scampi, calamari, battered sosig, bratwurst as well as sweet treats and sides enough to leave you in some mild discomfort - should you wish.

They're not short on sauces either, with curry sauce, minted mushy peas, tartare and of course: chip shop gravy.

Where to find JJ's

JJ's Vish and Chips is on Byrom Avenue, at the top of Broom Lane. You can turn up and place your order, or call ahead and collect. And if the expansive menu leaves you feeling a little left out, they might take pity on you - if you ask nicely - and let you taste a sample.

Can't get there?

If Byrom Avenue is a little out of reach, you can still get your Tofish fix on Deliveroo and Uber eats.

Success in the cloud

Since February, JJ's have been operating their first Manchester outfit from a cloud kitchen on Dark Lane. And after proving popular with the locals of Levenshulme, they've decided to call our little borough home.

Now, with two branches under their belt, who knows what's next for these fanatical fryers?
